"Well. I unplugged the power connectors and plugged them back in, reset the CMOS and switched it on. BANG!!! Blue light and a loud crack. Then everything worked fine!!"

Does that mean it is fixed? I am confused b/c you continue to ask "What could be wrong? Is it my house's wiring? PSU?"

If it is not fixed then, do you know of a place that will let you tryout a different PSU to try to find the source of the problem?
