Get an Acer Ferarri 4000. Its about $2200 (depending on where u buy it from), and comes with 1 gig of ram, an AMD Turion ML-37 processor, and and ATI Radeon Xpress X700. Also has a slot-load DVD burner. Fair price for a gaming rig. Gaming rigs are normally extremely expensive (around $2500+) I'm 17, and will be heading to college myself in less than a year. I've researched laptops for a few months now and this is the best I've seen for the price (By comparison, an HP Compaq R4000 costs more than this fully loaded, and it has NO portability).
