I've seen the 2 hour special on the history channel several times. I've never read the book though. Its an interesting subject and definately something to be explored. I have always believed the continuity issues in the Bible (and I don't mean to start a war here) were because the Church controlled everything - today's propoganda.

Matthew Stover is my favorite author. His emotional pieces are perfectly written. If you are a star wars fan, I recommend Traitor, ROTS book, and Shatterpoint.
