Unhappy Customer

My new MacBook Pro, is not even 6 months old and I am having problems with it.
I first called Apple Support, and they where not much help, they gave me the phone number of an Apple Service Centre in the small city I live (there is just one Apple Service place in my town.).
They looked at it for a few minutes & told me to call Apple Service again.
I called Apple again, and they tried to sell me a 2 year extended warranty with call help, for $400. That's FOUR HUNDERED DOLLARS, or I could pay $50 each time I called them.
I am not happy with Apple at all so far.
I always wondered about that old saying, (once you go mac, you won't go back), well I will not likely ever be buying another apple product of any kind.
If anyone is considering a Mac., think twice.

Before you bash what is essentially excellent hardware and OS, what is exactly your problem?

I agree on the point that Apple's policies suck, but their systems don't. Again, if you tell us the problem we might fix it: that's what this forum is for.

I also just got a new MacBook Pro, and it came with free phone support for the first year. Yes, there is an extended warranty, but one year should be more than enough for them to solve all your problems, free to you.

That's not policies or Mac, it's people, depends who you dealing with.

Don't get Nuc bent out of shape by attacking Macs. He takes it personally.

What was your problem with your Mac, i find it hard to believe that after 6 months they wouldn't help you, since it's normally after 1 year that they don't help you. I have had my fair share of trouble with my MBP, i bought my first in 2007, the video card went bad 2 weeks later so they replaced it, then that 2nd computer died 3 months later with 2 problems, the logic board and video card died, so i fought them for awhile for them to give me another computer since it was still under warranty. After that i got my third and current, and so far, i went through 2 GPU replacements, and the GPU is starting to give me problems again.

After these experiences, i won't be buying a Mac laptop again, or an iMac since it's basically a MBP with a large screen, but i would buy a Mac Pro. I have 2 PowerMacs that have never had any issues ever, so i think the Mac Pro would probably continue their legacy.

Well i guess every brand has its fair share of problems. All brands have problems. as a customer what is important to us is how the product performs and help ease our life.

Apple still produces amazing products. Just the front line people who are not doing their job properly that reflects badly on the image
