PowerBook G4

I have just been given a PowerBook G4 to play with and I am typing this post from said machine.
It's been a long time since I have used an Apple machine and I am looking forward to re-familiarizing myself with them.

I know how you feel - I bought a Macbook Pro a couple of weeks ago. Somehow, it feels like Windows' OS's are becoming eerily similar to OS X .

I've just finished rebuilding said above machine - I bought myself a MBP 13" at Christmas time and I love it to pieces.

I was given that PowerBook G4 and with a little bit of TLC it should work great again at some point.

It needs a new HD and a another GB of ram and it should run sweet as a nut for a old PowerPC

So far so good, I have limited myself to getting used to Safari and from what I have seen it is quite easy to get used to.

It's a beauty. What version of OS X has it on?

Looks like it's in good shape form the pictures. I won a PowerMac G5 from a computer auction last year, and then got another one a few months later, Apple really knew how to make those PPCs, they run beautifully.

I'm typing this from my Macbook that I bought in early 2009, and it could pass off as a couple of months old. It's old enough to have come with Leopard installed when I bought it!

It's a shame that the only thing that's holding that machine back is the processor architecture, I think a lot of apple software requires Intel processors now.
