I have a Heatsink Fan that has the standard little 3 pin conncetor that goes on the motherboard. The cord
on the HSF is not long enough to reach the conncetion
on the motherboard. Do they make extensions for this
cord? How else do I get it powered up? Thanks, Katie

Can you rotate the fan on the heat sink to gain the wire length you need? Odd that the wires are too short. Otherwise you could splice in pieces of wire to give you the length you need. Just be sure it's the same size wire and your connections are either taped well or covered with shrink tubing.

Yes they do (see link below) however you may be able to get teh fan connected just by removing the HSF Fan mounting screws and changing the position of the fan so that the cable is nearer to the motherboard plug.

Thanks for the info about an extension cable. I will order
it from Directron. I get a lot of my parts from then
anyway so will just add it to the next order.

Are you sure the fan connection you're looking at is for the CPU FAN and not the CASE FAN or SYSTEM FAN? The CPU FAN header should be pretty close to the CPU socket area.

Yeah I agree with Cricket. What motherboard do you have?
