Who makes a GOOD hard drive? Maxtor, Seagate, Western Digital, etc? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

well i have used Western Digitals for the last 8 yrs. whether i knew it or not cause i just built my first comp 3 days ago and never had one go out on me as of yet. So in my personal opinion i would go with WD.... but that's just me.

Western Digital all the way!!! I bought 5 in the last 3 years. I only had to RMA (with explanation) one of them and dealing with WD was awsome. Sent in old drive and they sent a new one, no arguing!!!

P.S. my comp is on 24/7.

I've used a lot of WD's with only one problem. Recently I installed a Seagate 7200rpm with 8mb cache in a new build. It is promoted as a quiet drive and I'll validate that statement. Very quiet running hard drive. May pick one up for myself in the future.

Any of the 3 you mentioned are good drives. I personally prefer WD, but the other 2 are acceptable. Note that all drive manufacturers have their ups and downs, and *any* drive can fail at *any* time.
