'SUCATREG has caused an error in WINTRUST.DLL' error message when I go into DEVICE MANAGER (using WME).
What is causing this? Did I do something to mess the system up? Anything I can re-install to correct it? Can I copy this file over from another WME machine? (my laptop)?
I can drag the error box to the side and contine using DEVICE MANAGER - it doesn't seem to be messing anything up.

Hi Aaron2,
Your SUCATREG file may be corrupt. The file is on the Win98 CD (in the Win98 directory), so you can just replace it. Hope that helps.

Whew... nothing but trouble with this system. Not sure if it's my hardware combo or just WINME.
I copied the SUCATREG file off of my laptop and onto my desktop (I could not locate it on the actual WME CD). I'm still getting the same error.
SUCATREG has caused an error in Wintrust.dll... SUCATREG will now close.
I check the Microsoft site but could not find anything...
Giving up for the night... off to play half-life... if it doesn't crash! :)

Ok... also getting a ATIMMC error caused by KERNAL32.DLL error when trying to play a DVD (Radeon 64 DDR). This has not happened the last month... what happened with my DLL files?
Can I just replace them all? How would I do that?

Ok... I decided to d/l and install DirectX 8 and the 8 digital video patch.
Well, it seems to have fixed every problem I was having.
Flawless DVD playback (where the Radeon 64 DDR really shines) and I can go into 'device manager' and DirectX set up (dxdiag) without any crashes or shutdowns.
in the first place?
