Do wireless devices such as mice and keyboards perform the same as wired devices in terms of response and just overall reliability? Also which brands are good for mice and keyboard? Microsoft? Logitech?

Yes, I've been using a Wireless Mouse for just over an year, and I cannot change back to a corded one...ironically, it's my desktop that has the wireless, and my laptop that has the wired optical :p. You may have some response troubles once in a while with wireless mouse, generally very unnoticiable, however. Microsoft and Logitech are the two best companies to buy from...personal preference goes to MS, though.

Hope that helps,

I use the Logitech MX Duo and I like them alot. The receiver doubles as a chargeing cradle for the mouse. It did take some getting used to remember to put the mouse in the charger at night. I'd say go for it, you will be happy.
