headphones and monitor ?'s

I have two questions:

1. I get some major feedback in my headphones, and I am unsure why?? I think that it is the headphone connector, cause now it is happened on two different comps, but they were both front audio. On was mobo audio from the pins, the other is connected to the back of the mobo. What could the problem be, it is integrated audio.

2. My ViewSonic monitor is supposed to be optimal at 1280x1024 @ 80hz, but whenever i go over 60hz the picture bounces really bad. It does it during bootup too. I am not sure why this is, or what is causing it, would it be a bad monitor??

For the headphones, do you get the feedback when you use them on any other audio device? A stereo or walkman? If so, it is the headphones and not the computer.

For the monitor, check to see if there is a new driver on the Viewsonic website.

Post back so we can troubleshoot more. :)

It isn't the headphones, cause they work prefectly on the other two computers in the house...and the drivers are the new ones straight from the ABIT driver cd.

as for the monitor, yea, they are the newest drivers. even if there weren't that wouldn't effect the BIOS at all, would it??

After doing some research, I have come to find that the two problems are possibly related. I have come across something about the IRQ settings of the sound and the GFX being to close together or something, and need to be seperated a little bit. My questions now are how would I go about doing this??
