View Full Version : What's causing washed out colors?

The picture on the monitor on my other computer has started turning green around the edges and the colors washing out. I hit degaus and it's fine for a few hours then it comes back. This just started. Nothing has changed around the monitor. There are no magnets or new electronics anywhere near it. Why would it start doing this all the sudden? It is an Arcus monitor that is a few years old and it has proven to be very nice but I don't know what's going on now.

Sounds like a monitor to me, also.

So you think that monitors starting to dye? Why would degaus work?

I couldn't really say, Hi Ho, but I think I'd do like Big Weapons sez and simply try it out on one of your other systems. I know the last time I thought I had a defective monitor, the first thing the manufacture had me do was try it on another system. Yep, same problem (and they exchanged it without a hassle).
