I have Windows 98 and when I bring up Google and type in a word to start a search I also have other words spelled like it drop down in from the window I am typing in. This is like a short cut you could click on the finished word it thinks you will type.
Is there a way to clear that or shot it off? Reason I ask is I have a password in the window and if you type near it, you can now see it.
Thanks
Steve
In IE, go to Extras > Internet Options, Contents, AutoComplete, and there you'll find two delete buttons. The left one clears the history.
EDIT: That was for Windows XP, but I believe in Windows 98 it's similar. Just look through the Internet Options.

It's autocomplete, not history.
Tools > Internet Options > "Content" tab > AutoComplete > click "Clear Forms"
