Found this over at Intel and thought it may come in handy for builders and enthusiasts alike, with the new naming scheme at intel. Sorry had to ZIP it to get it to fit, it's supposed to be a little quick reference thingy you can print out and fashion into a key-ring type set up.

probably because I just zipped it with xp....I have winzip at home will try re-doing it later tonight. Actually, that's interesting. I uploaded the file using firefox, downloaded it just fine in firefox. IE however, gave me the corrupted file msg. Anyone else using firefox that can confirm this?

i edited the post, removed the attachment, and reuploaded with IE....still get the message...strange.

**edit** ok winzipped the file, re-attached it, still no dice with IE. Firefox works fine again here. Looks like the IE users won't be lookin.

Very nice Redfallon, this will defnitely come in handy. I also tested it with IE, and no luck. That's odd that it would work with one browser and not another.

This should be it Didn't know if it'd work or not, thought it might require a PW, let me know if anyone else has trouble with that link.

NIce, what does Celeron-D mean though, is that just the new processor name or is it somethign special?

Celeron D is a Prescott core Celeron, and has 256k cache with a 533MHz FSB. It is a lot better than the Northwood Celeron, probably because of the Prescott's improved branch predictor. Here is some benchmarks, as you can see they even give Athlon XP 2800+'s a run for their money. Overclocking beasts too:

Oh yeha, now I remember that...I knew I heard of it.

**edit
I just looked at those reviews...those processors are crazy overclockers...a cheap alternative if you want 3.2E speeds witha a 2.8 processor with 1/4 the cache...that's crazy.

Yeah, making me think of getting into overclocking myself :D. Pick up a cheap Celeron D, get some cooling for that Prescott core, an IC7-MAX3, some fast RAM, and I should be set! Apart from the fact I don't have that much money to throw around :(.

If I was going to spend 180 on a motherboard, I wold get a processor that cost a little bit more than the board...lol...But it could be a nice temporary upgrade, unitl you could afford a Northwood 3.2 to overclock....
