Help! 3.2ghz intel won't boot up!

Man i need some help here. Let me get you caught up. I built a system with these specs:

3.2 ghz Intel w/ HT
Chaintech 9cjs mobo
Radeon 9800xt
1gb Kingston pc3200 ram
74gb WD Raptor
Plextor DVD+-r/rw

Now the important parts of this computer are the mobo and the processor. I'm relatively new to system building (i've build one other 1900+ AMD Xp machine). But as far as intels go i'm new. On my first system that i built, the processor came from newegg attached to the mobo so i never had to worry about the whole process of connecting the processor and thermal compund and all that.

So, my problem comes down to this. Simply put, my computer turns on just fine. All fans going and everything. But on the monitor it says 'no signal'. I first suspected the video card, but threw in an old one and the same problem occured. Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem? Could the processor be the problem? i have no idea. Anyhelp would be most appreciated.

Try reseating the processor, it could be loose.

Can you hear any beeps? any sound coming from the hard drive. Another thing is that graphics cards are sometimes tough to get in a require some force to get the pins in all the way. Although if you've built a system in the past, that shouldn't be a problem for you. How about the mobo; was is new or used? If it was used, it might have had AGP disabled or something so you might have to reset the Cmos. Other than that, I dunno. Good luck.

Oh, and make sure you didn't use too much thermal compound; any drips down onto the pins are bad.

I followed all the steps exactly in that post and still the same problems. I'm really at a loss of what i should do. I reseated the processor also. I'm really not sure now.

Try removing the video card, blow out the slot, and re-seat it. Then try booting up.

Did you plug the extra 4 pin 12v power connector into the motherboard?

And the 4 pin power connector for the video card?

thanks for all the help everyone. I did connect the extra 4-pin connector on the mobo, and there is only one power connector for the video card, right? I think i found what could be a problem. The memory slots on my mobo say 2.5v, but my memory's support voltage is 2.6v, that looks suspicious. Is that the problem? if so i can probably return the two memory sticks for memory with support voltage of 2.5v.

No, the RAM voltage won't cause the computer to not boot up.

You removed the motherboard from the case and still got nothing? What brand and wattage is the power supply?

Have you tried booting it up with just the motherboard connected to the power supply (just the motherboard, nothing else except the PC case speaker if necessary)? You should get beeping from the BIOS because there is no CPU, RAM or video card.

Since it's a Chaintech motherboard, there is a good chance that it's DOA.

i took the mobo out of the case and still got nothing so i don't think it's a grounding problem. I have an Antec 450w power supply so that should be a problem either.

I haven't tried it just with the mobo hooked up to the power supply. I haven't heard any beeps though.

And i'm sorry, what does DOA mean?

I might just take this to a repair guy so he can analyze what's going on. I appreciate all the help though.
