It seems that if you want to refill an Epson C84 then forget it! you cant I have been refilling cartridges for years. All makes and models sucessfully (exageration) I have failed with the C84 and ended up having to buy a Print-rite cartridge... but I now need to refill this as well but cant find any info anywhere. I have gallons of ink (another exagerration)that i dont want to throw away. so does anyone out there know how to refill either print-rite or Epsom OEM cartridges.please

reference site. Lots of good stuff here! :D
http://www.inksupply.com/c84refill.cfm

I highly suggest checking out the rest of the site. I personally would like to check out the large refill containers on the side of the printers for continues use. Looks like good stuff
Mannered ;)

Clear MIS C84 / R200 / R300 / R800 Empty Cartridge

Refill Procedure

The MIS Empty C84, R200, R300, and R800 carts have a sponge in the front half and a reservoir in back half. Original Epson carts are different and can not be refilled using this method.

Drill a hole (0.154 dia) in the top to gain access to the reservoir. Do not drill into the sponge section of the cartridge. Add ink until full. Should take 12 to 13 ml of ink. Be sure you are drilling into the reservoir section. The reservoir section is empty, the sponge section has a white fibrous material in it. Make sure that you remove the foil covering the vent holes. Some carts come with foil, some don't. The open vent holes on the top go into the sponge section.

It will take about an hour for ink to be fully absorbed by sponge in front half. Ink will gradually move through the gate to saturate the sponge. Keep cart in installed position during first hour. Then seal the drilled hole you made, AIR TIGHT, with the rubber plug provided. If you did not receive a rubber plug, use hot melt glue or epoxy. Leave the existing vent holes open.

Next, use a syringe with a bottom fill adapter (MIS-BADPT) and draw out 1 cc of ink from the exit port to prime the cartridge and remove any trapped air.

Install a chip on the cart and give it a try. If the chip is not new, reset with our SK168 Resetter. :D :D

Dulux, actually the most important part of "vacant" reply is in the last sentence!

To refill C84 ink tanks, You must have a " universal chip resetter" or
the printer will not recognise the refilled tank as full.
