Outlook 2000

I have MS Office 2000 installed on my home PC, which is running Windows 98SE. Last week MS Outlook 2000 stopped loading. The initial splash for Outlook 2000 appears, but the program will not load. I have tried re-installing, uninstalling, installing again; nothing has worked. I contacted my PC manufacturer's support line; however, his suggestion at modifying the registry (as detailed in the Microsoft Outlook Express troubleshooting guide) did not work either. I was able to retrieve all of my e-mail by enabling Outlook Express, but I am still bothered by this problem. Has anyone come across this? Thanks!

also scan for viruses

I already had the service pack (if you are referring to SR-1), and regularly run virus scans, prior to and subsequent to this happening. Still the same thing. Thanks for the feedback though.

This may or may not help you, but I found that sometimes just dumping the .tmp files and doing the scan disk / disk defrag will help lock-ups and such.
