intwenet connection sharing problem... please help!

iv finaly got ics to work on my network (or sort of working) however on the client computer it tells u it is connected to the internet (there is a little icon in the task bar that says so and its in network connections) but i cannot surf the net or download any updates for software i have on it
does anybody know how i can fix this?

ps its ment 2 say internet connection sharing as the title (im trying to type too fast)
and my firewall should not be the problem because i can get at files on the host pc from the client

Just because you can get at files on the other machine doesn't mean the firewall is not blocking Internet access. Disable the firewall and try again.

do u mean the firewall on the host or client

Try one, then the other, then both.
