I am not quite sure what you mean...Are you trying to say you want to have a modem connected to a router in one part of your house, but not connected to a computer, and then a computer in another part of the house connected to that router(wirelessly of course)?

We really need some more info than a text drawing.

Are you saying you want to broadcast from the source (modem probably) to a router elsewhere in the given location? Then going from the router, you want to have another wireless connection to your computer?

Is there any reason you can't have the router right next to the source and plugged in? Then you would use the wireless between the computer and router.
