Internal to external drive converter?

Is there actually such a thing? I want to make my internal cd writer external and connect it to a parallel port or usb port. I wouldnt care if its slow(even if it reads and writes at 1x). I saw a review of one (xconnect I think) but it requires and add in card.

Yes, they are out there. We deal a lot with Startech at work and I know they make them.
