Games read as audio

Hey all....I have 3 games that I try to run on my cdrom
and they read as an audio cd and I cant open them...any ideas???Thanx in advance.

Do all games you try to run do this or just 3? If so, which 3? HTH

This post is for a friend so I dont know what 3 as they are not home right now.Im sure they are not the same manufacturer and I did have this problem once myself but just gave the game away.Im wondering if a firmware upgrade might solve the problem or using the manufacturers driver as opposed to the windows standard driver.

What kind of cdrom has he got? Do the games do this in any kind of cdrom or just in his? HTH

If they are copied games, there may be an incompatability with the CD-Rom, or the CD-Rom may be going south.

They play in other roms ok just not in this one.But all other games play ok in his ROM other than these 3.The rom is a Mitsumi.

On a copied game, just because it works on one drive, doesn't mean they will work on all. I have 2 program update CD's (recordables) from one of my corporate clients where these CD's will not work on their server, but if I make a copy of these CD's, they work fine.
