I'm using firebird 9 now to access the net at this time. Can't do anything in IE.
I've ran updated AdAware and spybot. Also ran updated NoAdware and it found these two items. worm_opasefc:\windows\fontview.exe and
tcash hkey_local_machine\software\?regvalue. The question mark is because I can't really tell what that is. Kinda like an L with a little v next to it??? Who knows? When I try to scan for updates, soon as the link appears, I get hijacked to the dreaded blank page and a search engine appears.

First, have you updated Adaware/Spybot prior to running it? Then, run this program called CWShredder and HiJack this on the same site. Clean with CWS and DO NOT DELETE THE STUFF ON HJT - Post the results instead.

Hope that helps,
kram

After you get it cleaned up, try this:
