Overheat/overrun my card?

I play counterstrike 1.6 and with several tweaks have gotten my FPS up to 300. Yes, thats 300 fps. I have a 128 DDR ATI Radeon 9800 vid card and was just wondering if all that work will hurt my card. If so, what should i set my fps_max to? Thanks Guys.

What "tweaks" did you make? If you didn't overclock your card then it certainly won't hurt it. Counterstrike graphics are rather dated and I'm not surprised that a 9800 Pro can run it at 300+ FPS.

Iv'e changed some game rates and run the dame in 'developer' mode which makes it somehow run faster and at accelerated performance. Then i just upped my max_fps to 300. Thanks for the info.
