DVD drive does not recognize new DVD disk

The DVD drive does not recognize the new DVD disk. I receive the error to insert a disk. Whats wrong?

Welcome to PCMech. A little more info, tho, please. Is this a newly installed DVD drive? Have there been any other major changes in your hardware or software? Is this a store-bought movie DVD, or a DVD-R or RW disc?

check the region code of the dvd u r trying to play. is it compatible with the dvd rom u r using ?
