Hey all,

I am having a problem that is driving me nuts. I have a HP pavillion ze1230 laptop that I use for the web and some light gaming. It's aprroximately 2 yrs old.

The problem that I am having is that it will shut all the way down on it's own automatically, with no explaination. This happens 90% of the time while playing games. Diablo 2: LOD is all I usually play, so I don't beleive this is particularly taxing my systems resources. It's 1.5 Ghz with 256 megs of RAM.

The only thing I can think of is that, the notebook is overheated and has some sort of auto shutoff when it gets too hot. My laptop is my desktop, so to speak and I keep it elevated off the desk at all times to increase airflow.

Anyone have any ideas?

its most likely its over-heating. The heat pad needs to be changed.
