I have the opportunity to buy a 17" PrecisePoint 8705P
Capacitive Touch monitor. Do I need anything special (video card, cables, etc.) to run this type of monitor? Thanks for any help. Jamie

We have touchscreens on our laptops and personally, I hate it. I can calibrate the "touch", but the double clicking (?) drives me nuts, not to mention the smudges on screen. Then try hitting the little X to close a program.

We use them at work for CBT's, but I couldn't see using them all the time. Other than the standard video cable and power cable, there will be a DB9 serial cable to hook up to the PC. Personally, I wouldn't spend the extra money unless there was a medical need for it.

Thank you "SARGE" and "slider" for your insight. I am seriously reconsidering buying this monitor. Thanks again for the help. Jamie
