Hi Folks,
My hard drives (see my signature below) are rated as Ultra ATA 100. My questions is, if I buy IDE cables can they be Ultra ATA 133 without diversly affecting performance? I am picking up a couple of round IDE and the ones I like are Ultra ATA 133. Just want to verify before I buy them.

Thanks,
Stryker

The cables will only move data as fast as the drives will allow, so I would say with 99% impunity that the 133 cables will work with 100 drives.

I recently switched from using normal flat ATA100 cables to ATA133 cables on all my drives (two ATA100 hdd's and one ATA33 DVD) and cannot notice any performance difference. My score in all sorts of benchmarks didn't chnage either. So I am assuming there is no problem with performance.

There are no cables for Ultra DMA 133 only. The 80 conductor cable is used by UDMA66, 100, and 133, so the cable you want to use will work.
