I am going to be moving everything from my Dell comp, Hard drives I have 2, RAM, Video and sound card. Also my Pentium 4 2.4ghz CPU into my new MOBO. Assuming that all of the Dell parts mount to the new case it should go fine. You should not have to reformat your HDD, you may have to reinstall some drivers however.

Hopefully, you're also getting a new power supply! The Dell has proprietary wiring and could cause a REAL problem with your new Asus mobo. If your hard drives from the Dell have XP installed, you have about a 50/50 chance that it will boot up in the new system. Make your odds better by following glc's suggestions (originally for Win 2K) in this thread.

If you are on a budget www.cyberguys.com sell a conversion cable that will convert the dell power supply to the same cable layout as an ordinary power supply.
