Weird Downloaded Media Problem

I keep having trouble with downloaded video and audio being in slow motion...it's really pissing me of, because in some cases I spend twenty minutes downloading it, and then it's busted when I try to watch it...

Oh, by the way, I'm watching it in Media Player 10, if that helps, if you need any other information, just let me know.

What are your system specs?

Are you downloading the entire file first, then watching it, or is it being streamed?

Often times this is a codec issue - are you certain you've got the correct codec installed for the media you are watching?
