ATI Radeon 9800 Pro for Sony Vaio

Im planing on buying the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-102-286&depa=0)video card for my Sony Vaio PCV-RX650 desktop. I do video and image editing and also 3D animation using the following software: Adobe® Premiere Pro, Photoshop CS, and NewTek® LightWave 3D[8], I also play the video game Counter Strike but very seldom. Do you guys think the card will help ay all?

PS Im planing on building my own machine in the near future and will eventually install the Radeon 9800 on that machine but in the mean time I will install it on my Vaio.

My current Sony Vaio spects:
Intel Pentium 4, 1.6GHz
1GB PC2100 DDR
Microsoft® Windows XP SP1(home)

The ATI Radeon 9800 Pro is fantastic card - stellar 3D and 2D quality picture. I own one myself and can't say anything bad about it as of the moment :D. I should advise that you might want to check on the PSU on the Computer...manufactured computers like Sony VAIOs often come with the minimal power needed to run the stock system. In any case, you can just post what you see here.

I agree with Kram. Check the power supply to make sure it will be able to handle the card.

Where can I check how much Watts does my power supply has?
I check the online manual (http://temp006.bounceme.net/PCVRX650_SR.pdf) but didn't find any info on it?

Is there a utility that can give me the info?

I believe there to be two ways to do this. First, the easiest way is to open up the case and look at the sticker on the PSU. If you can, you can even take a picture of it and attatch it to this forum. Another way, which I am unsure of, is to run <a href="http://www.lavalys.com/products/overview.php?pid=1&lang=en&pageid=1">Everest</a> and see what it seeks out...I'm not quite sure whether it will determine the wattage and brand of the PSU, so I would go with the former approach.
