Alright then...where should I begin? At first, I thought that my power supply wasn't big enough for my video card, which is a nVidia GeForce FX 5500 OC 256MB. Like I said, it's not the best thing in the world, but it's something :) . I resolved this problem by removing one of the jumper cables on my motherboard. Now, I can get the computer going and everything, but if I try to do something like click on my start menu and install games and what-not, it restarts automatically by itself. The drivers for the video card are installed. Anyone have any ideas?

Hello There:
"(I resolved this problem by removing one of the jumper cables on my motherboard. )"

What exactly did you remove??
Sounds like something is not installed correctly in there somewhere..
What were the original symptoms?? What make/Model MOBO, and processor are in there? Did this setup ever work right??
KK

The More info you give the better someone is equipped to give a better answer as the the probable cause of the problem...

I removed the jumper that can clear the CMOS in my computer. I'm running an ASUS P4S533-MX motherboard w/a P4 2.4 GHz, PC2100 512MB, 60GB hard drive, C-Media sound card and a GeForce FX 5500 OC 256MB(that doesn't work  ). I think that's all of it...

Exactly what brand and wattage is your PSU?
