What is "suggested" Mhz for monitors?

I currently have 2 connected to a Matrox G450 card and have them set @ 85Mhz.

Should I leave them that way or should I change it?

A good rule of thumb is to set the refresh rate at the lowest setting your eyes can comfortably tolerate - the higher the refresh rate, the shorter the life of the monitor.
