video card hardware tester

anyone know of a good video card hardware tester for a Nvidia based video card been haveing problems with it and need to see if it is hardware related email me at coffeebug313@hotmail.com or post here with link or name of software thank you

I would try a few runs of 3DMark 200x (depending on the age of the card, replace x with 1,3, or 5). Trying it out in a different system would be good as well.

having major artifaict problems it has been tryed in other systems same problem exists and it only seems to show when card is put under a heavy load I am thinking maybe some corrpion in the card cmos but am wanting to test it to see if it pans out I have another card same type that I can compare it

Is it overclocked? How hot is it when running? What is the brand and model of the card? If it is not overclocked, and running quite cool, then I would look if it is still under warranty.

Generally artifacts mean overheating, or overclocking too far, or too much heat from overclocking. It could also mean bad drivers, try downloading the latest nVidia drivers. The card could be damaged.

No it is not overclocked heatwise I am not sure it is a Gforce 4 420mx it says it is under warranty for the shelf life of the product will try drivers beside the machine it was in was tested in a machine using the latest drivers but will try again with a reinstall just incase thier is a cmos update built into the drivers
