I've had this (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=1517&e=5&u=/afp/afplifestyle_urban_animals_sweden_moose) pair of heaphones for about a year and a half. The headphones are a little messed up now and have taken quite a beating. The sound quality on these was decent but now i'm looking for something better. I was going to buy some big over the ear closed sennheiser headphones but i realized that they would be hard to carry around with me and would probably break in my backpack. I don't like the headphones that are earbud style. The thing i liked about my old sony ones were that they were about the size of earbud headphones but they used over the ear suppourt so they didn't hurt my ears.

so, what are some nice sounding rugged headphones?

I certainly recommend Sennheiser. I have the Sennheiser MX-500's (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=26-106-312&depa=0) and I love them. They sound great and are durable but they are earbuds. THESE (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=26-106-333&depa=0) are fairly compact open air phones. By the way, your link is a bit broken. It takes me to a story about a drunk moose. :D
