Hi naes ere' i got a proplem. I just bought a asus gforcefx 5700 PCI, but i only have one pci slot(oh bugger should of though of that)with a gforce2mx/mx400 there(came with comp), well any way how do i swap the two over.
I did swap the two(without installing or changing anything), when i connected every thing back up, and fired her up the screen was blank..?
How do i install everything for my new card, so that i can swap them over?
how do i swap them over?

ok it's a little vague on what you did. did you remove your GeforceMX2 and put in the FX5700 and then connect the monitor to the FX5700?

Welcome to PC Mech forums :)

You cannot insert a PCI graphics card into an AGP slot and vice versa if that is what you did...it's physically incapable. If you mean that you inserted the FX5700 PCI into the PCI slot, you would need to change a few settings in the BIOS WHILE you have the GF4MX card connected.

thats right i took my gforce out and put in the fx5700 and then put my monitor into the 5700. how do i swap them over?

before u swap u need to uninstall the hardware and the software of the old graphics card, like uninstalling the software that came with it and uninstalling the card from device manager, then after that u can do the swap
