Freshtel is introducing a new way of using your Internet connection to call other people, both online and by phone or mobile phone.

Their product is called firefly.

Brilliant! yes that is my expression about these guys. I have joined - used the service and everything went flawlessly.

Their email replies are excellent in speed and content.

Sorry GLC I had not read the guidelines for this particular forum and didn't know where they were. I looked now and still could not find them. All I had done when coming to the forum was to look at the following extract I show below:

" Just got a deal and a half? Tell others here" - so I did. I am not an expert in reviewing - I just wanted to let others know my enthusiasm for a particular product without an in depth discussion - and so I just pointed them to the site which I thought would help everyone.

Apologies for being so brief - but that is all I can do with the knowledge and time at my disposal. I thought it better that the website itself could speak more correctly and informatively for itself than a customer who is just pleased - and wants to let other know about it.

But again GLC (not that I will need them for this purpose now) - I REALLY did not know there were specific requirements within your rules - my fault for not finding them I suppose. My comments were just a brief introduction to a superb product as far as I was concerned. I did not want to make a big deal of it.

Never mind, I will not engage in this section again - now that I realise there is more to it than just making the sort of posting that I did.

Sorry GLC - have just seen those Rules. Don't know I could have missed them. I was just drawn to that comment on the left which I put in my posting above.

But you are right - I should not have used that word "great" for example.

However, I didn't know and that is honestly how I felt. "But rules is rules" and I was wrong.

"Great" well it is not particularly easy to quantify, being just an overall feeling of satisfaction with everything concerned. Because an Internet/connection telephone providing service seemed to be self-explanatory. However, I felt it was great because today I am finding email support very difficult to obtain relatively quickly when asking for help. And, on this occasion when asking initial questions they were very quick.

A little later I asked whether they had a directory and by return came an email explaining that they did and gave me a link towards it.

Because the joining process, such as getting your number, registering and then adding funds using PayPal was so easy gave me an overall feeling of satisfaction in dealing with them. The software a very pleasant, simple to use package resides when opened and then minimized in the SysTray.

To check your funds can be done in a few seconds, and the explanations of how to use the software are superb on the website.

I had just tried to "cut to the chase" by pointing to the website that was all. To avoid perhaps misrepresenting their software when talking about their product. Nevertheless I hope the foregoing will help a little to explain "why" I found it a great piece of software - and personally I feel they will corner a big piece of that particular market as it becomes more known. It is a fairly new organization.
