I've a screwed up XP installation in a Win98 SE comp (dual boot)... So I removed the Windows XP in my second partitioned HDD and its traces... However, the dual-boot menu keeps coming. I know I can choose the operational operating system but I just want to totally destroy the menu. How can i do that? Is it possible? :)

Right click My Computer, go to properties, Advanced, Startup and Recovery, and uncheck display list.

No, he only has 98 on it now - you have to boot with a 98 startup disk and at the A prompt, type SYS C: followed by FDISK/MBR . You can then delete boot.ini in the root of C.
