Can someone please tell me if it is true that for caturing and editing the hard drive should not be larger than 40Gig?
I plan on installing another hard drive but now am faced with UIDE and EIDE, not sure what the diffs are between the two.
Lastly do I install the new hard drive on its own IDE and link my cd-rom on with my c drive????? :(

Forgot also to ask what is the diffs between an ATA133 ATA100 as it looks as if my existing hard drive is an ATA6!!!!!!!!

Not true. For capturing and editing you want the largest drive you can get.

IDE is essentially IDE. ATA6 = ATA100. ATA7 = ATA133. You will never notice the difference, but for optimal performance get a 7200 rpm drive with 8mb cache.

Slave the new drive to the existing drive, use an 80 wire Ultra ATA cable and jumper both drives to Cable Select. Master drive goes on the end of the cable, slave to the middle.
