AIW cards have a TV tuner. Basically, a multi-media oriented card. The x800 is a card geared towards heavy gamers.

Along with the TV tuner, the AIW also has a remote (which I never use, but I can see where it would be handy) and a BoB so you can also record from analog sources like your old favorite VHS home movies. Gaming wise, the 9800 Pro and the AIW 9800 Pro are the same card.

The Radeon X800s are geared towards games, but the ATI AIW Radeon 9800 Pro will also handle games very well. However, the Radeon X800s are the top of the line gamer's cards out right now so like FF said, if you're heavy gaming, X800s might be for you.

i deffinately am a heavy gamer..just not a rich one! so the x800 is out of my range. but from what ive heard and what i know, the 9800pro is an excilent card so i think ill go with that one. and if the AIW is the same just with more features, but no sacrifice then i think i will deffinately get that one. thats for the help!!

There is an Sapphire AIW Radeon models - but they are far less prevelant than the ATI AIW. I'd say go ATI AIW Radeon models as they are easier to find.

Question: would it be better to get a 6600GT? It has the same features as an AIW card except for the remote. I know I keep on banging on about this card but it really is that good. AIW is also more expensive...

When it comes down to it, it looks like nVidia won this round of next generation gaming cards.

Depends on what you need. Without a doubt, ATI has ruled the multimedia section with the All-In-Wonder series for a while, but nVidia has the GF6600GT down. I'd say for multimedia, AIW Radeon 9800 Pro is a good choice considering it can still play games very well, but for extreme gaming with the little more money you will spend to take the 9800 Pro to an AIW, GF6600GT maybe a choice worth considering.
