Hi all. Today literally I've jsut bought an ATI Radeon AIW 9600 video card. Now I installed the card just fine. Graphics are incredible compared to my old integrated 64MB card.

However my problem is that when I'm using the tv tuner software. I can pick up local channels, but for some reason I get no sound. Thats when I use just local channels alone, or hook it up through my cable box. Regular sound for my computer is working fine.

Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

you need to use that dongle connector in the cards output connector and feed the audio connector into the sound card line input jack, then confiqure the aiw to use the sound card line in for the tv sound.

Thanks for replying. The thing is I've got an intergrated sound card. Does that make a difference? Or do I just hook it up as if I'm hooking up speakers?

no it won't make any differance what kind of sound card you have, you still should have a line in jack next to the speaker jack, most sound cards do.
check with your motherboard manual to see which one is the line in jack, and that will be the one to connect the audio cable from the aiw card to.

There is one possible problem with onboard sound. That is if you have 5.1 speakers. Most onboard sound cards have only three jacks. If you are using 5.1 speakers the line-in and mic jacks are used for speaker output.
