4 6800 series video cards gone bad ..a new record!

yea i know yer saying he,s got to be kiddin! i wish i were,just got my new 6800gt card from the manufacture after rma ing the last one only to have the memory go bad as soon as i hooked it up,god what bad luck!!now they want to send me a new one,im about to give up and keep using the 5500 i got that works great. :eek:

4 bad cards in a row sounds highly improbable. How did you determine they are all bad? And yes, please tell us what brand!

As j4ack said how did you determine they were actually dead? Did you test them in another computer?

if you read any of my post,s in the past ,you know the first two were gainwards,one was a golden sample , they went bad due to heatsink graphic problems. i switch to a evga,except only the vga side worked dvi wouldnt. rma it back, got my new one today bang!memory go,s bad right off {this according to evga},called evga they are going to send me a new one pronto!shipping on them.their customer service has been great! yes my system has been tested ,its a new pc .did replace my thermaltake 480w psu because it was bad (it was brand new} would not put out enough power to run 6800 card,got ocz 520 powerstream ROCKSOLID! PSU!funny thing ,through all this ive been using a bfg 5500 oced card as back up and it has worked great,but just cant get these high dollar cards too! :mad:
