I'm sure we all remember the browser wars of the 90's when the borwser titans IE and netscape were throwing their weight around. In the past years since aol aquired netscape netscape has basically fallen by the wayside. It seems that that with the release of browsers like firefox and opera that the fire that fueled the browser wars have been rekindaled.
But this time could there be enough competition for IE to toppled it's dominance of the web. Aol is releasing a stand alone browser based on IE and there are talks of hybrid (between IE and Mozilla) being released by netscape. We also can't forget opera and apples saffari browser. Then of course we have the young ans rising firefox.
In the 90's all IE had to contend with as a real competitor was Netscape and was eventually smashed by IE. Could Firefox rise to be the Next major competitory titan to challenge IE. It's is very possible. There is also something to consider the hybrid browser from netscape. It is thought to be a challenger to both IE and mozilla.

Rather that start a new browser vs. browser thread, I'm going to close this one and suggest we follow Kov-Ice's advice to use the previously started thread. There's some good, productive comments going on in that one.
