Looking for a pressure-sensitive gamepad

Maybe this is a dumb question, but I was wondering if anyone knows of any pc gamepads with pressure-sensitive buttons/analog sticks (like a Playstation 2 controller). I bought a cheap Logitech gamepad and it works fine, but without pressure-sensitivity I've found that it can't compare to the mouse & keyboard for first-person shooters.

You could always go with this and use a 1st gen dual shock controller:

I bought the Playstation 2-to-USB adapter today and it was detected and works fine. The problem I ran into however, was that not all first-person shooters have keyboard buttons assigned to looking up/down/left/right (Return to Castle Wolfenstein does, but Battlefield 1942 doesn't), some rely only on the mouse for those functions. All other commands can be programmed to the controller (such as shooting, jumping, reloading, etc.), but with BF1942, I couldn't turn left/right or look up/down.

My question: Is there any way to assign a mouse axis (say, left with the mouse) to a direction on an analog stick of a controller (say, left on the right analog stick) if there is no button on the keyboard for looking up/down/left/right?

i am thinking about buying the ps2 to usb adapter too but will it work in NFSU2

I probably wouldn't buy the PS2 to USB adapter again. It doesn't work with many of the games I have (don't have nfsug2 though) and the install floppy didn't work, and couldn't get any tech support on it. Worked ok with rtcw but not much else. It's a good idea but needs better support software, say on a cd-rom with a programmable button program like Logitech has for their USB controllers.
