Man, that thing is big. But it fit in my A-bit AA8-Duramax motherboard just fine but it was a pita to install. Had to take out the motherboard to put the adapter on and then the biggest pita was trying to get the heatsink to clamp down onto the processer. Needed the help of 2 people to do this right. In any case, just thought I would give a heads up to the LGA775 people out there that want to install this big cpu cooler. Oh also, make sure you have your adapter plate the way you want your cpu cooler to face before you start clamping down stuff and if your northbridge cooler is close to this heatsink during install I suggest removing it because if it barely touches it when you set it in their to test it out then your gonna hit it during install for sure. I will post some temps from my Pentium 4 550 when I get everything running.

I would hope so. I hope I didn't screw up my motherboard or processer trying to put this overgrown heatsink in, lol.

I guess I kinda forgot about this thread I made, lol.

Temps are around idle 39-43C after the install.

No idea. I never ran it with the stock HS.

well, the XP-120 is awsome. with the reference cooler, it would get to approx 70C load at 3.6Ghz but with the XP-120, my max load temp is 62C (Oced) 55 (non OCed) and the delta is only 5-7degrees C from idle to load which i find amazing.

I went with the XP-90, Arctic Silver 5, and SilentCat90 fan.

That should work just fine for me. The XP-90 has excellent reviews.

I forgot to mention my load temps. On load its goes from 52-54C which is pretty good for a prescott. Also, I am using this 120mm fan.

Jumper is on so its at full speed all the time and you can barely hear it.
