My current printer is broken and I am looking for a new one. I don't need anything too special, just something efficient and a good value. Good photo printing ability a plus. TIA.

That does look like a great deal, but I am leery about buying another Canon since the one that died on me is a Canon too. I will definitely have to think about it, though. Thanks.

Well, if it's any consolation, I went to Canon cuz my Epson died 2 months after the warranty ran out! Go figure.

Canon is the most efficient on ink. The only other printers that I'm comfortable with are HP. I don't care for Lexmark or Epson for reliability reasons.

I only purchase Epson after haivng numerous HPs go bad on me (Multifunction and a regular desktop Deskjet). I can say though Epson is very ink-inefficient, its prints are amazingly clear and crisp. That being said, I have also come to like Cannon a lot after my cousin purchased it - nice quality printing.

I decided to go with that Canon. For the same price I could buy two new printheads for my current printer which might solve the problem. The choice was pretty simple.

I am not too crazy with the top paper feed, seen too many problems with it.
