I have a machine running Win '95 with an AT motherboard and since it has come back from the menders(?) it constantly shows between 80 & 100% memory utilized, even with virtually nothing running. On top of that, it has hard locked quite regularly when composing emails or spell checking them, balancing accounts in Money 2001 etc.
I have 64MB RAM and an S3 Virge graphics card. The machine had been running fine for almost three years and then the floppy drive wouldn't work. I replaced the drive but it didn't help. It was still under extended warranty so the suppliers took it back to rectify.
They stated the motherboard was faulty and replaced it with an M575, a different chip and memory. I'm sure the board was not a new one, judging by the grime on the components.
Any help would be appreciated.
