View Full Version : Looking for a good All-In-One Printer

So, I'm working on getting a new computer, and figure I should get a new printer and scanner while I'm at it. So I says to myself, "Self, why not get an all-in-one? It would take up less space on your cluttered desk and use up fewer USB ports on your computer." Hey, what a good idea. So as I've been looking through the ads in the newspaper, I see all of these different all-in-ones, and don't know which is good and which is okay, and which I should avoid completely. And THEN I see these Epson printers that can print directly onto CDR....which would be great for me, since I seem to have problems with those stick-on labels. But I don't seem to see any all-in-one printers that have this capability. So, after my long-winded explanation, my question becomes: Are there any all-in-one printers that have the ability to print directly onto CDRs? And if not, what is a good resolution for a scanner? (You see, I'll get the new printer and keep the old scanner...maybe)

Thanks.

Might read through the other posts that start with "I need a good printer."

What is the model of the old scanner?

The scanner is an HP Scan Jet 3300. I'd have to do some looking to see about any other info about it.

That's as good as any scanner you will find in an all-in-one. You might as well buy one of the Epsons that can print direct to a CD if that's important to you.
