I want to upgrade my 120GB PATA drive with a 160-200GB SATA drive. I was wondering how I might go about cloning the old HDD to the new one. Also when I do this, will all my programs still work properly on the new drive?

The free drive setup software from most drive manufacturers can clone drives, as can programs such as Norton Ghost.

Well I tried using the Data Lifeguard Tools v11.1 that came with my Western Digital HDD, but I couldn't get the partitions to clone properly from the old drive to the partitions on the new drive. There were a couple files on each that could not clone over. Any ideas on how I can get it to work right?

Did you boot up with the floppy, or clone it from within Windows?

Within Win XP

You can't clone it from within Windows because the system file are in use...that's why all the files didn't move over. You gotta do it from a floppy and DOS.
