I've just installed new Motherboard, Processor and Memory in a system. DVD Rom is detected and swithed on in BIOS but Windows ME doesn't pick it up. It's not in my computer or Device manager. I've had it as both Master on IDE2 and Slave on IDE1 with the hard drive. I've tried a known working CD Drive with the same result.

You changed out some parts? You gotta do the ENUM Trick (http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9254) so that your system will work properly with the new stuff. Have the motherboard driver CD handy, the new motherboard needs the chipset drivers.

Tried the ENUM trick but still no DVD rom. Tried over install and the problem is still there. Forced windows to use different Primary and Secondary IDE Controller drivers and this seems to have solved the problem. Thanks for the help.
