Hey, im planning to buy a tv card for my pc, but i wanna know what one is best and what should i be looking for. Im sure some of you must have pctv cards, what are your experiences? and how do the remote controlls work? i didnt think IR could reach around the back of a pc.

I started with and ATI TVWonder VE a few years ago and didn't realize how bad it was until I upgraded. I've had my leadtek winfast tv 2000xp for about two years now and am pretty happy with it. The IR sensor plugs into the card and has about a 4' cord to get the sensor to line of sight. Overall, remote works pretty well.
but i wanna know what one is best and what should i be looking for
Depends. Do you want analog TV, or digital TV ?
If digital TV, do you only want normal TV, or also HDTV ?
There is no card that does all of them.

The TV Wonder VE is awful - but the TV Wonder Pro is pretty good.

I'm using the Win-TV PRV-150. seems ok, It's the only one I am familiar with. It has a 2 foot cord for the remote and another cord about 4 feet to transmit to your cable box if you have to use one for your channel selection. It has audio and vid and S-video inputs as well as your cable connection.
