After several nights of tossing and turning with the vacuum cleaner, a.k.a. Thermaltake Volcano 7+, running all night, I got Gigabyte's 3D Rocket Cooler model: PCU22-SE. This CPU cooler is far superior to the stock cooler and the Volcano. Idle temps are; stock w/ Arctic Silver 5: 55C, Volcano w/ Arctic Silver 5: 51C, Rocket w/ supplied thermal compound: 44C. The noise level of the Rocket is about the same as the stock cooler which is much quieter than the Volcano. Installation onto a socket 478 board was very easy as well. I also installed one in my friend's new comp which has a LGA 775. It was a hassle installing it on his because if you already installed the motherboard, you have to take it completely out to put on the mounting bracket. Overall the Rocket is a much better cooler than the stock cooler for socket 478 and LGA 775 and Thermaltake's Volcano 7+. Also it costs only $10 more than the Volcano, $40.48 from www.newegg.com including shipping.
